ABOUT THE BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ) NATIONAL STEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Brain Battle Quiz(BBQ) National STEAM Championship is an exciting practical based applied Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) programme aimed at stirring interest in related fields among children at the basic school level, with the focus of discovering, inspiring and nurturing future scientists for Africa, whiles inculcating problem solving skills such as critical thinking, team work and confidence.

BRAIN BATTLE QUIZ (BBQ) NATIONAL STEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 ‘DELTA EDITION’ ACTIVITIES
Contestants (Learners) and Coaches (Facilitators) of participating schools will benefit from activities and items in this year’s edition that will include:
1. Science & Tech field trips and career expo for contestants (learners) at the Chemistry Department of the University of Ghana and the West African Center for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens at the University of Ghana, Legon. (Delivered online at the Prelim stage and in-person for schools that qualify to the National Stage)
2. Workshops for science coaches(facilitators) provided by the Chemistry Department of the University of Ghana and the West African Center for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens at the University of Ghana, Legon
3. Coding & Programming training in python basics for contestants(learners) in-line with the BBQ coding/programing component
4. Post B.E.C.E Pre-Senior High School classes/tutorial in Senior High Year One new curricular courses for contestants (learners) (Strictly for graduate contestants to attend when awaiting to enter SHS)
5. BBQ Branded T-Shirts (for the 4 contestants and 3 coaches of each school)
6. Sample Past Questions and access to past BBQ videos
7. Souvenirs of sponsors (where applicable)
